The Feeling - Never Be Lonely
This is the house I grew up in from ages 9 until 17, before my parents split up, we moved 3 more times then they magically got back together. My brother and I rollerbladed and biked around the living room and it drove the housekeeper nuts lol.
Reblogging this because I now live in a tiny apartment (the size of my parents’ bathroom and walk-in closet) and I miss all that space. I miss not having to edit my stuff and having room for all of it.
Anyway, this house took 2 years to complete, since my Mom took her time traveling and shopping to fill it up. It bordered 3 streets and had a pool and basketball court. (The help had their own house on the property.) It was perfect for parties!
A friend told me, over drinks, that I seem like a person who got everything he wanted while growing up. I never really thought about it until that point, but now I realize that I did have a wonderful childhood.
MGMT - Electric Feel
This 5eva.
Closing Ceromony Spoiler of the Day: Rumor has it that in addition to Muse, the reunited Spice Girls and George Michael — the singer, not the Arrested Development star — will headline Sunday’s Olympics Closing Ceremony, titled “A Symphony of British Music.”
Prepare to be hit right in the nostalgia.

Remember the Jokerize app from 2008?
I suddenly felt nostalgic so I decided to rewatch The OC, it seems, for the nth time. I would’ve wanted to start from season 1, but I couldn’t find my DVD. I settled for season 2 instead. (Still amazing!)
I now realize that I was too young and naïve to have noticed all the details when this aired in 2004. For instance, in one scene in episode 1, “The Distance,” Julie tells Caleb: “You’re either hopped up on blow or something’s seriously wrong.” Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage were a bit ahead of their time with the drug references, weren’t they?
I was also heavily into bands such as Rooney, Phantom Planet and Keane then, so I never noticed that Seth Cohen was into The Clash. (I’m convinced that he was/is the prototypical hipster.)
Talking to Kirsten, Summer says, “I’m here to get over Seth. My therapist said the best thing I can do to move on in my life is to divest myself of all of Seth’s material possessions. I gotta dump off a bunch of his crap.” Sad as this now sounds, I only discovered The Clash around 4 years ago.
Hindsight truly is 20/20!
Checking my Tumblr posts from July/August 2008 and omg, time warp thingy:

My friend Jenn gave me some swag from Colombia!
She also told me that the Presto (it’s the Colombian version of Burger King) near my old house is now a high-rise apartment building! Amahzing.
