FLUORESCENT ADOLESCENT

I completed another set of forms for school. While they were optional, it seems this application process never ends. At least I can breathe a bit easier now before moving on to the other millions things I need to do on top of my everyday routine. (Part of that list: looking for an internship or part-time work placement before term begins. One can never be too prepared!)

It’s amazing how productive I can be when I ~focus~.

Res - They-Say Vision

I love going through my iTunes library and rediscovering music I used to love. I was mildly obsessed with this song when it first came out. It’s one of those feel-good songs that remind me of Saturday mornings for some reason. I wonder where she is now.

With so many incredible remixes out this year, this mixtape was difficult to keep short. I’ve definitely posted some of these before, but I couldn’t resist pulling them all together for one solid NYE playlist. Here are some of my favorite remixes of the year. Hope you guys enjoy (and dance your asses off into 2012)!

YAAAAASSSS! NAAAAAAWW!

So my mom says that she and my dad were Vogue and GQ subscribers from the late 70s to the mid 90s. My brain started to throb thinking of all the visual inspiration in those pages, perfect for scanning, splicing and remixing into mood boards. (Basquiat, Warhol and Haring were still alive during a greater a part of that era, so imagine the art features. Back then, they fell under current events!)

But then she told me that she couldn’t remember where she had stored them exactly. Worse, she suggested that she may even have given the entire archive away, or thrown them out at some point.

Now I find myself grieving the loss of something I never really had. Time to hit eBay.
