The collaboration somehow feels redundant. There isn’t enough of a difference in perceived status between his main line and H&M to recreate the high-low novelty of the Swedish retailer’s previous pairings with Lanvin, Marni or Margiela. Besides, Wang already has his affordable T spin-off brand, which falls within the H&M construct.
Then again, H&M is not my thing at all — it’s too shoddy and disposable — so maybe that’s it. I can’t even buy sleepwear there.
